About Southern Bella Blooms

Hi there! I'm a mom of four and have a small flower farm in East Tennessee.  I grew up on a small farm in the southwest desert where I learned to grow, cook, and preserve all the goodness a garden can produce and appreciate the blessing and beauty of flowers.  I love to grow beautiful cut flowers for both selling and teaching special design work.

In 2022 we purchased our first farm and planted nearly 3000 peonies, and we plan to plant about 2000 more later this year. We are currently building the infrastructure of our farm, so things are busy around here!  To follow our progress, you can read our blog starting in February 2023, or follow us on instagram @southernbellablooms for the latest updates.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

One beautiful spring day, when I was seven years old, I was playing under our pomegranate and apricot trees. I noticed baby apricot seedlings sprouting from the ground. I couldn’t believe it! I knew I had to share my favorite fruit with the world. I got a spoon from the kitchen drawer and dug up every seedling possible, carefully planting them in paper cups. The next morning I took my baby apricot trees to school for show and tell. I passed them out to my second grade class and taught them how to grow apricot trees. I felt like I was changing the world!

I continued to garden with my grandparents, often beating them to the garden for our 5:30 am harvest to beat heat in our Southwest climate. Today, every time I grow, harvest, arrange, and deliver specialty blooms, I still feel like I am changing the world through the joy that only flowers bring.

Each year, as I plan our little flower farm, I carefully choose each seed and bulb variety to create the most stunning and abundant bouquets for you. We source from the best American seed companies and grow special varieties that you won’t find in your grocery store.

American grown flowers are important to me. As you experience my specialty cut flowers, you will see the difference! American grown flowers are several days, and even weeks more fresh than imported flowers, and they have a much longer vase life which allows you to enjoy them in your home much longer.

I’ll always love apricots, but right now, growing you gorgeous bountiful bouquets of seasonal blooms is my grown-up way of changing the world!

If you love flowers, good food, and finding adventures for your family, you've come to the right place.
